Clarity Partners is looking for an experienced People Partner to join the Surface Mining division of a leading mining contractor with operations across Australia and Southeast Asia.
Working as part of the People & Culture team, this role will partner closely with operational leaders to provide practical people solutions that support workforce capability, leadership effectiveness and a positive employee experience.
The People Partner will provide trusted advice across a broad range of people matters, supporting leaders and teams across workforce planning, employee relations, performance, organisational development and other people initiatives aligned with operational and business priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with operational leaders to provide practical and commercially focused people advice
- Support workforce planning, capability development and talent initiatives
- Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management and workplace matters
- Coach and support leaders in effective people management and leadership practices
- Support employee engagement, culture and capability initiatives
- Provide advice on employment legislation, industrial relations and company policies
- Use people data and insights to identify workforce trends, risks and opportunities
- Support the implementation of people strategies aligned with operational and business objectives
- Partner with leaders through organisational change and workforce initiatives
- Contribute to broader People & Culture projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Identify opportunities to improve people processes, systems and ways of working
About You
- Proven experience in a People Partner, HR Business Partner or similar senior HR role
- Strong generalist HR experience across employee relations, performance, workforce planning and organisational development
- Experience working within mining, resources or another operationally complex environment
- Experience supporting operational, site-based or geographically dispersed workforces will be highly regarded
- Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation and industrial relations
- Confident partnering with and influencing leaders at all levels
- Commercially minded, with the ability to connect people initiatives to operational and business outcomes
- Strong communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills
- Practical and solutions-focused, with strong judgement when managing sensitive people matters
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline
