Night Shift Engineer – FM Service Provider – Commercial Building – Tottenham Court Road, London – Up to £50,000 + Package
Exciting opportunity to join an established FM service provider based at a large commercial building near Tottenham Court Road, Central London. CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Night Shift Engineer to work on a static commercial site, carrying out both planned preventative and reactive maintenance across all building services systems.
The successful candidate will be electrically or mechanically qualified with a strong background in commercial building maintenance and experience working within large commercial environments. Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across electrical, mechanical, and fabric systems
- Electrical maintenance including lighting repairs, lamping, ballast changes, Simtronic/Phillips lighting systems, and power distribution
- Emergency lighting testing and maintenance
- Electrical fault-finding and small installation works including sockets, lighting, and circuits
- Monitor and maintain mechanical plant including pumps, motors, seals, and bearings
- AHU & FCU maintenance including filter changes and cleaning
- Carry out water treatment tasks including hot & cold temperature checks
- Complete minor plumbing works including unblocking toilets, replacing taps, and washers
- Escort and supervise specialist subcontractors on site
- Maintain and update compliance records, reports, and site logbooks
- Diagnose faults across building services equipment and proactively resolve issues
- Ensure all KPI and SLA requirements are consistently met
- Maintain strong communication with both client staff and site management teams
- Ensure all works are completed in line with health & safety regulations and company procedures
- Remain flexible and assist with additional maintenance tasks within skill set when required
Package:
- Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum
- 4 on 4 off night shift pattern

Requirements:
- Electrical qualification – City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 & 3 with 18th Edition
OR Mechanically qualified – City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 - Proven track record in commercial building maintenance
- Experience working within large commercial buildings
- Multi-skilled across electrical, mechanical, and building services systems
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills
- Must be able to provide copies of trade certificates
- Must be able to reliably travel to the site for night shift start times
