The position has a constant workload of daily analytical work, as well as lab/ site interactions for aiding with general analytical questions. The chemist must be able to quickly and efficiently change objectives, when problems needing support arise.
The chemist must be familiar with and able to use OpenLab CDS (vers. 2.8) The analyst must be highly proficient in the use of at least two of the following:
GC - (Agilent) Direct Inject, Headspace, SPME with FID and Mass Spectrometry
LC - UV-Vis, ELSD, MS (Agilent)
FT-IR / FT-NIR (Thermo Fisher)
TGA / DSC (Waters System)
Metrohm Titrators w/ OMNIS software - Dosimat and Karl Fisher
The chemist must be able to learn how to do routine analysis on the systems they are not familiar with.
The Chemist must be able to efficiently summarize their results in written reports that will be shared with various levels of technological capabilities.
This is a lab position that requires the person to be 100% onsite.
