Job Summary
Are you an organized, people‑focused professional looking to grow your career in Human Resources? We’re seeking an HR Administrative Assistant to join our team in Walker, Mi. In this role, you’ll support daily HR operations, help create a smooth onboarding experience for new hires, and serve as a welcoming presence for candidates and visitors.
 
What You'll Be Doing
As an HR Administrative Assistant, your core responsibilities will include:
  • Managing daily mail and filing — Sort incoming mail and maintain organized personnel and benefits files to ensure accurate and accessible records.
  • Supporting new‑hire onboarding — Create onboarding packets, prepare the conference room, and confirm candidate readiness for their first day.
  • Coordinating interviews and candidate flow — Review resumes for manufacturing roles, schedule interviews, and greet candidates and visitors in the lobby.
In addition, you will also be expected to assist with company events and luncheons, create digital flyers for plant‑wide communication, and guide new hires on facility tours during orientation.
 
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree in HR or Business preferred)
  • Previous administrative or HR support experience is a plus
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
 
Skills:
  • Attention to detail — Ensures accuracy in filing, onboarding materials, and candidate documentation.
  • Interpersonal communication — Helps create a positive experience for candidates, visitors, and new hires.
  • Multitasking and time management — Supports multiple HR functions while maintaining smooth daily operations.
