Responsibilities

The selected candidate will provide comprehensive paediatric anaesthesia services, including:

  • Administering paediatric anaesthesia for various procedures.
  • Offering cardiac anaesthesia, regional anaesthesia, and pre-anaesthesia care.
  • Managing acute, chronic, and complex pain through children’s pain services.
  • Providing procedural pain management tailored to pediatric patients.
  • Conducting research to improve anaesthesia practices and outcomes.
  • Teaching and mentoring junior anaesthesia staff and medical trainees.
  • Leading quality improvement initiatives to enhance safety and patient experience in anaesthesia care.

Requirements

  • Recognized M.B.B.S. or an equivalent basic medical degree.
  • Relevant post-graduate qualifications recognized by the Singapore Medical Council.
  • Completion of specialist training in paediatric anaesthesia or a related field.
  • Accredited as a specialist in paediatric anaesthesia or the appropriate specialty.
