ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the CEO & Managing Director, the Finance & Commercial Manager will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for overseeing the financial and commercial performance of the business.
This is a broad role that extends well beyond financial reporting. Working closely with the Directors, you will lead financial planning, banking relationships, debt management, tax and compliance while providing commercial advice across investment decisions, development projects and operating assets.
The successful candidate will be comfortable operating within a lean, fast-paced business where they can roll up their sleeves, challenge assumptions and contribute to strategic decision-making. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management across the group
- Manage banking relationships, debt facilities, refinancing and liquidity planning
- Oversee multi-entity structures, tax planning and consolidated reporting
- Provide commercial advice to support investment decisions and business growth
- Review and challenge hotel operator budgets, forecasts and financial performance
- Strengthen governance, compliance and financial control frameworks
- Prepare Board reporting and provide strategic financial insights to the Directors
- Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, reporting and business performance
- CA or CPA qualified with approximately 10 to 15 years' experience in finance and commercial leadership roles
- Experience within property, property development, investment, hospitality or other asset-intensive industries will be highly regarded
- Strong technical accounting, tax and corporate governance capability
- Demonstrated experience managing debt facilities, banking relationships and cash flow
- Commercially minded with the ability to influence strategic business decisions
- Comfortable operating within a lean, entrepreneurial and fast-moving environment
- Hands-on approach with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to build trusted relationships with owners, advisors and external stakeholders
- Executive leadership role working directly with entrepreneurial business owners
- Broad commercial position with genuine influence across finance and strategic decision-making
- Exposure to major commercial and hospitality development projects
