A leading global law firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its highly regarded Banking & Finance practice in Sydney. The team advises financial institutions, funds, and corporates on some of the most complex and high-profile financing transactions in the market, often with a cross-border dimension.
This is an opportunity to work at the cutting edge of the banking and finance market, handling sophisticated matters while playing a visible role within a collaborative, high-performing team.
Responsibilities
- Advising lenders and borrowers on a wide range of general banking and finance transactions, including syndicated lending and acquisition finance
- Drafting and negotiating complex facility agreements and ancillary documentation
- Managing transactions and coordinating with international counsel across multiple jurisdictions
- Supporting and mentoring junior lawyers
- Developing strong client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives
- Typically 5–8 years’ PQE with strong experience in general banking & finance
- Training and/or experience gained at a leading international or top-tier firm
- Technically excellent, with strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Commercial, proactive, and confident working directly with clients
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
