Description:
Responsible for performing stress analysis on new designs of primary and secondary airframe structure, as well as updating existing analyses to incorporate design changes. Experience in stress analysis of subsystems and subsystems installations desired. Experience with MRB stress analysis of metallic and composite structure desired. Required experience with FEA software including NASTRAN and PATRAN. Experience using Abaqus highly desired. Experience using TMP Vision for post-processing desired. Experience with CATIA V5/3DX highly desired. Familiarity with UNIX/LINUX operating systems desired. Candidate must be capable of interpreting detail, assembly, and installation type drawings and models.
Required Minimum skills:
1. Airframe primary structure layout and sizing
2. Hand/Excel based analysis of aerospace structures
3. NASTRAN and PATRAN, HyperMesh, or Abaqus
4. Catia V5
Familiarity with Slim, Vision, and IDAT and 3DX a plus
