Location: North Adelaide, SA

Duration: Approximately 6–8 weeks, with potential for ongoing work

Pay Rate: $62.88 per hour + applicable penalties

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Switchboard Electrician to join a busy workshop-based project in Ferryden Park. This role involves the assembly and installation of electrical switchboards, with opportunities for overtime throughout the project.

This is an excellent opportunity for electricians with switchboard manufacturing or industrial electrical experience who are looking for immediate work with the potential for longer-term employment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install electrical switchboards.
  • Install and terminate large power and control cables.
  • Complete switchboard wiring and terminations to a high standard.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Conduct quality workmanship while maintaining safety standards.
  • Work effectively both independently and within a team environment.

  • Immediate start (preferred Monday, 3 August).
  • Approximately 6–8 weeks of work with the potential for extension.
  • Standard 8-hour workdays.
  • Overtime available on weekdays and potentially Saturdays.
  • Workshop-based role located in Ferryden Park.
  • Competitive hourly rate of $62.88 per hour, plus applicable overtime penalties.

Essential Requirements

  • Current Australian Electrical Licence.
  • Current CPR/LVR certification (issued within the last 12 months).
  • White Card.
  • Experience with switchboard assembly, installation and cable terminations.
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings and work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in switchboard manufacturing or workshop environments.
  • Industrial or commercial electrical experience.
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
