Here at Talent Quarter, we currently have an exciting locum opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to join a supportive and dynamic multidisciplinary team in Mount Isa, QLD. 
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Social Worker with acute hospital experience to broaden their clinical skills, experience rural and remote healthcare, and enjoy an unforgettable outback adventure along the way. 

The Role:

• Working across inpatient and outpatient caseloads
• Supporting patients across adult and paediatric wards, Emergency Department and outpatient services
• Working collaboratively within a young and dynamic multidisciplinary team
• Providing high-quality social work services across a diverse range of presentations
• Working alongside a supportive Allied Health team in a rural and remote setting
• Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with a 1-hour unpaid break
• 4–5 week contract commencing ASAP
• Accommodation provided for the duration of the contract
• Up to $1,000 relocation assistance (including GST) available
• Competitive salary package

About You:

• Minimum 3–4 years’ post-graduate Social Work experience
• Strong and recent acute hospital experience is essential
• Confident working across a hospital environment, including inpatient and outpatient settings
• Experience working with complex presentations and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team
• Adaptable and confident working in a rural and remote environment
• Have a valid Background/Police Check and be able to provide at least two working references

Acute hospital experience is particularly important for this position, as the successful candidate will be required to confidently manage a varied caseload across inpatient, outpatient and Emergency Department settings from the outset.
