Senior/ Principal Consultant - Databricks (Brisbane)

We're working with an established specialist Data & AI consultancy that's growing its Brisbane team. They're looking for senior and principal-level data engineers with strong, hands-on Databricks delivery experience.

The role
You'll design and build data platforms and pipelines for clients, mostly on Databricks, taking a business problem through to a working solution. Some engagements you'll deliver on your own and on others you'll lead a small team.

The business is technology agnostic, so the work starts with the client's problem, not a platform to sell.

You'll:

• Design and build data platforms, pipelines, integration and analytics solutions on Databricks
• Work across Snowflake and Microsoft/Azure where clients need it
• Turn business requirements into clear technical solutions
• Deliver on your own or lead a small team on client work
• Guide and mentor other consultants
• Help with proposals and solution shaping

About you

• Real hands-on Databricks implementation experience. This one is essential
• Strong data engineering, including data modelling, SQL and modern ELT and integration patterns
• Consulting or client-facing delivery experience, ideally at senior or principal level
• Comfortable working independently and in front of clients
• Unity Catalog and Databricks AI experience are valuable, and data governance is a plus

If you're already a senior or principal consultant and want pay that reflects your delivery, this is worth a conversation. If you've built strong Databricks platforms client-side and want to move into consulting, we'd like to hear from you too.

What's on offer

• Base salary of $155k to $205k plus super, depending on experience
• Permanent full-time, Brisbane based, with flexible hybrid working
• Varied Data & AI work alongside experienced specialists
• Ongoing learning and career development
• Health and wellbeing support, paid parental leave and a reward and recognition program

If this sounds like you, apply now or reach out to me on the details below for a confidential chat.
