About the role
This position is designed for a short-term contract employee who will contribute to manufacturing operations by executing tasks that involve CNC machining and production quality assurance. The role offers the chance to work closely with experienced professionals in a dynamic workshop environment.
Key responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to guide manufacturing processes
- Deburr, mark, drill, and tap fresh-off CNC parts while adhering to quality standards
- Report maintenance issues and maintain health and safety practices in the workplace
- Collaborate effectively with workshop staff, demonstrating initiative and clear communication
- Follow cleaning procedures and use correct signage to ensure a safe working environment
- Maintain physical fitness to handle the demands of lifting and carrying objects as required.
Skills & experience
- Proven experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Strong capability in operating CNC machinery and ensuring product quality
- Demonstrated ability to work proactively in a team-oriented environment
- Familiarity with general health and safety practices in a manufacturing setting
- Forklift awareness is advantageous but not essential.
