About the Role
- Maintain and enhance conservation reserves and natural environments.
- Undertake weed control using chemical, mechanical and manual methods.
- Deliver revegetation and habitat restoration works.
- Identify indigenous flora, fauna and invasive species.
- Operate and maintain bushland management equipment and tools.
- Support volunteers and trainees and assist with community environmental programs.
- Contribute to work planning, record keeping and safe work practices.
- Qualification in Natural Resource Management, Environmental Science or related field, and/or relevant industry experience.
- Experience in bushland management, conservation or ecological restoration.
- Knowledge of local native flora, fauna and weed species.
- Understanding of ecological processes and vegetation management.
- Current Victorian Driver Licence.
- Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Chainsaw Level 1 certification.
- Chemical Users Certificate and/or ACUP accreditation.
- Experience supervising volunteers, trainees or community groups.
- Temporary full-time position (35 hours per week).
- Fortnightly RDO.
