Ethos BeathChapman is partnering with a leading financial services organisation to appoint a Senior Manager, Executive Accountability & Governance.
This is a unique opportunity to join a high-performing governance function responsible for supporting executive accountability obligations, enhancing governance frameworks and strengthening regulatory compliance across a complex and highly regulated environment. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will play a key role in maintaining accountability frameworks, supporting policy governance activities and delivering governance outcomes that contribute to a strong culture of accountability and oversight.
The Opportunity
This role sits within a specialist governance team and offers broad exposure across senior leadership and key business functions.
You will support the ongoing operation and enhancement of accountability and governance frameworks, maintain critical governance documentation, coordinate regulatory obligations and contribute to the continuous improvement of governance processes. Key Responsibilities
- Support the ongoing operation and enhancement of executive accountability and governance frameworks.
- Prepare and manage regulatory notifications and submissions.
- Maintain accountability documentation, including Accountability Statements and Accountability Maps.
- Support enterprise policy governance and policy lifecycle management activities.
- Deliver governance reporting, management information and analytical insights.
- Assist with governance reviews, audit readiness activities and regulatory initiatives.
- Drive process improvement opportunities across governance and accountability frameworks.
- Build strong relationships across the business to embed effective governance and accountability practices.
About You
We are seeking governance, risk, compliance or regulatory professionals with demonstrated experience supporting accountability frameworks within highly regulated financial services environments.
To be considered for this role you should have:
- Hands-on experience supporting the ongoing operation of the Financial Accountability Regime (FAR) and/or the former Banking Executive Accountability Regime (BEAR).
- Experience maintaining Accountability Statements, Accountability Maps and associated governance documentation.
- Experience preparing and managing regulatory notifications and supporting regulator-facing obligations.
- Exposure to governance reporting, accountability frameworks and governance committee processes.
- Strong understanding of governance frameworks and policy governance practices.
- Excellent written communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong analytical capability, attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience gained within financial services, banking, insurance or other APRA-regulated environments.
