NPI/Camps Project Engineer

Rate: $700 - $750 per day + super

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced NPI/Camps Project Engineer to support the delivery of accommodation, camp, and infrastructure projects within a mining environment.
Working alongside a high-performing delivery team, you will be involved in a range of active NPI projects including camp upgrades, gym upgrades, and other site infrastructure improvements. The role will initially be Perth-based before transitioning to site and is suited to either an experienced Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer with strong building and infrastructure project experience.
  

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and define project scopes, risks, constructability requirements, and delivery strategies
• Develop scopes of work, tender documentation, and technical deliverables
• Coordinate engineering and design activities to ensure successful project delivery
• Manage technical interfaces and stakeholder requirements throughout project execution
• Monitor construction progress, quality, safety, and compliance against project requirements
• Support contract administration including variations, claims, forecasting, and reporting
• Engage with operational teams, contractors, consultants, and suppliers to achieve project outcomes
• Support commissioning, handover, and project close-out activities

Mandatory Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
• 5–7 years' experience delivering commercial, residential, camp, or mining infrastructure projects
• Strong NPI (Non-Process Infrastructure) project experience
• Sound understanding of building practices and construction methodologies
• Experience delivering projects through the complete project lifecycle
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously

Preferred

• Experience delivering accommodation camps, village infrastructure, or commercial building projects
• Mining or resources sector experience
• Design and construct project delivery experience
• Senior Project Engineer experience delivering NPI projects
• Candidates who are collaborative, proactive, and strong team players
