Senior Data Analyst

Role Summary:
This role provides an opportunity for an experienced data professional to quickly integrate and make an immediate contribution through data-driven insights, reporting, and business improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will be capable of rapidly understanding business needs, building strong stakeholder relationships, and delivering practical analytical solutions that support informed decision-making.

Position overview:       

• Identify, interpret, and analyse complex data using linking and statistical techniques to answer multifaceted business challenges including the identification of trends and/or patterns in complex data sets, to create inference or insights and present recommendations.
• Lead the development and implementation of policies and procedures, use cases, data collection systems, automate collection processes, data analytics and other methodologies and solutions to support business and data strategies and to optimise statistical efficiency, quality and operations of different business units 
• Collate, analyse, document and review information and data requirements, design and, develop reports, visualisations, dashboards, predictive data models, machine-learning algorithms and resolve complex data issues using Power BI that are meaningfully presented to optimise operations.
• Drive data quality, integrity, and security through effective data management practices and uphold data governance frameworks
• Manage, maintain and evaluate potential technical software solutions and system architectures to ensure they meet business requirements
• Assist in the identification and implementation of data, system and business improvements
• Prepare data dictionaries, business cases, software requirements specifications, statistical reports, documents, presentations and correspondence
• Develop and manage stakeholder relationships at all levels through strong and effective communications, managing expectations, issues management and negotiation to ensure delivery of services and the achievement of outcomes and benefits.

Additional requirements and/or highly desirable skills: -      

• Apply a comprehensive understanding of business analysis in order to analyse and define new process improvement opportunities to support continuous improvement and business outcomes, providing advice to stakeholders, on ways to improve the efficiency and reliability of data products and services
• Engage stakeholders to conduct in-depth analysis of business’s reporting requirements, and make recommendations for cost-effective system and solutions
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills; and demonstrate interpersonal, collaboration and negotiation skills with a proven capacity to develop and maintain sound working relationships
• Apply knowledge and awareness of the latest IT technology and trends, including thorough knowledge of business intelligence tools and data frameworks
• Demonstrate an ability to quickly learn about Microsoft platforms including D365, Azure and on-premises SQL databases, AWS Quicksight, T-SQL, R, Python, machine-learning and solutions such as Office and SharePoint.

This role is based in Northgate, QLD - only applicants who currently reside in QLD will be considered for this role.
