Role - Health & Wellbeing Advisor
This role provides specialist guidance and practical support to embed a proactive, to employee wellbeing across the organisation. Role - Health & Wellbeing Advisor
This role provides specialist guidance and practical support to embed a proactive, to employee wellbeing across the organisation. Working closely with leaders and teams, you will help identify and address factors influencing workforce wellbeing, with an emphasis on prevention, early intervention, and sustainable outcomes.
You will contribute to shaping organisational practices, enhancing leadership capability, and ensuring health and wellbeing considerations are integrated into day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice and support on workplace health, wellbeing, and related risk management practices.
- Partner with leaders to identify organisational, operational, and psychosocial factors impacting employee wellbeing and develop practical solutions.
- Analyse health and wellbeing data to identify trends, emerging risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support the design and implementation of targeted wellbeing initiatives aligned with organisational priorities.
- Deliver coaching and guidance to leaders on fostering healthy, psychologically safe teams and effective early intervention practices.
- Assist in managing injury, rehabilitation, and return-to-work processes in line with legislative and organisational requirements.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and systems relating to health and wellbeing.
- Coordinate and liaise with external service providers to ensure services meet required standards and outcomes.
- Provide technical advice on relevant health, safety, and workers’ compensation legislation.
- Conduct risk assessments and support the management of psychosocial hazards within existing frameworks.
- Maintain accurate, confidential records and contribute to reporting and performance dashboards.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive engagement and adoption of wellbeing initiatives.
- Tertiary qualification in health science, occupational health, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of workplace health, safety, and workers’ compensation frameworks.
- Familiarity with psychosocial risk management and organisational wellbeing practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Ability to interpret legislation and apply it in a practical operational context.
