The Firm

A well-regarded national commercial law firm with a strong presence in Perth is seeking an Employment Lawyer with 2-4 years PQE to join its team.

The Role

An excellent opportunity is available to join a high-performing workplace relations and safety team advising a diverse range of government and corporate clients.

This role offers exposure to a broad mix of employment, industrial relations and workplace health and safety matters, including both advisory and litigation work. You will work closely with experienced practitioners on complex matters across multiple industries, with opportunities to develop strong client relationships and build your expertise.

Key responsibilities

  • Providing advice on employment law, industrial relations and workplace safety matters
  • Running and assisting with litigation including unfair dismissal, adverse action and industrial disputes
  • Supporting clients with workplace investigations, performance management, grievances and terminations
  • Drafting employment agreements, reviewing policies and advising on workplace compliance issues
  • Assisting with enterprise bargaining processes and employee relations strategies
  • Working on workplace safety matters including regulatory engagement and investigations
  • Delivering training and practical guidance to client management teams

The Candidate

They are interested in speaking with lawyers in the Associate to Senior Associate experience range who are looking to grow their practice in workplace relations and safety.

  • 2-4 years in a similar position
  • Relevant experience in employment, industrial relations, regulatory or litigation work
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • The ability to manage multiple matters and work directly with clients
  • A collaborative and team-focused approach
  • A genuine interest in developing a long-term career in this area of law
  • Experience across all listed areas is not essential
