About the Role:

You will join a small but mighty IT team and take ownership of some significant Power BI development work. The business has already done a lot of the heavy lifting on discovery, so you will be able to hit the ground running, shaping and building datasets and developing dashboards across logistics, merchandising, and finance applications.

This is a mix of BAU reporting and greenfield development work, with at least 12-months of structured, meaningful work already mapped out. The business is also exploring AI-driven automation and data interfacing, so there is real scope to grow your impact here.

Day to day, you can expect to:

• Build and refine Power BI dashboards and datasets
• Write and optimise SQL queries to support reporting and data consolidation
• Work alongside the existing BI Lead to deliver on a prioritised backlog of development
• Contribute to the broader data environment as the business continues its modernisation journey
• Dabble in AI- driven automation and coding, building on your own natural curiosity

Must have's:

• Solid Power BI experience, including dashboard development, dataset building, and DAX queries
• A strong grounding in SQL and SQL query writing
• The ability to work across multiple stakeholders and translate business needs into BI solutions
• Excellent communication skills and a confident grasp of written and spoken English
• An open, curious mindset when it comes to AI and how it can accelerate your work

Bonus points if you have:

• A curiosity for coding or prior experience
• Familiarity with Snowflake (the business is currently implementing it)
• A background in retail or sales-driven environments

Working Environment: This role is based in the Auckland CBD, offering hybrid working and carparking on-site (which is available on a rostered basis).The team offers flexibility around in-office hours to support personal commitments.
