We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established Australian food business known for its fresh, healthy products and fast-paced operations. Their central kitchen supplies multiple locations across South East Queensland and they’re looking for an organised, hands-on leader to oversee day-to-day production.

As the Production Kitchen Manager, you’ll manage a small, tight-knit team responsible for preparing and dispatching high-volume fresh ingredients daily. You’ll ensure everything runs like clockwork - from supplier ordering and rostering to food safety and logistics coordination.

This is a hands-on operational role suited to someone who loves process, structure, and leading by example in a busy, non-customer facing production environment.

What you’ll be doing
  • Oversee daily prep, packaging & dispatch of fresh food items
  • Manage rostering, stock levels & supplier relationships
  • Lead and support a team of kitchen assistants, supervisors and a logistics team
  • Maintain food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP / Food Safety Supervisor)
  • Coordinate with senior management to ensure smooth daily operations
What we’re looking for
  • 3+ years’ experience leading a kitchen or food production team
  • Trade-qualified with HACCP and food safety knowledge
  • Process-driven, detail-oriented & highly organised
  • Calm, kind and consistent leadership style
  • Physically fit and comfortable in a fast-moving, hands-on role
The details
  • Full-time, 38-hour week with early morning starts and early afternoon finishes
  • Flexible roster options
  • Salary $95-$105k + S dependent on experience
