Apply directWe’re seeking an experienced Design Manager to join a growing Design & Construct business delivering commercial and industrial projects across Australia.
This role will lead the design process from early feasibility and tender through to construction delivery, working closely with clients, consultants, estimating and project teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and aligned to client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the design process across tender, ECI, contract and construction phases
- Coordinate and manage external consultants and specialist advisors
- Lead design meetings and maintain project documentation and registers
- Review and improve design outcomes, identifying value management opportunities
- Ensure compliance with client briefs, planning conditions and authority requirements
- Coordinate approvals, permits and consultant deliverables
- Support estimating and project teams with design coordination and buildability input
- Manage client design changes, RFIs and documentation updates
- Drive quality outcomes and maintain program milestones throughout the design phase
About You
- Experience in a Design Manager or senior design coordination role within commercial construction or D&C environments
- Strong understanding of construction documentation, consultant coordination and authority approvals
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously
- Commercially minded with strong problem-solving capability
- Excellent communication, organisation and relationship management skills
- Proficient across Microsoft Office and project management/document control systems
- Experience on heavy services projects including Industrial/Pharma would be ideal but not essential.
