We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer to support our Air Revitalization Systems team in Glendale, AZ. In this role you will contribute to the design, build, integration, and qualification of a new product implementing Client's Carbon Dioxide Removal by Ionic Liquid System (CDRILS) technology.
You will lead systems engineering activities that span requirements development, system architecture, verification and validation (V&V), and cross-functional coordination. This role involves close collaboration with mechanical, electrical, chemical, and test engineering teams, as well as scientists advancing the underlying technology.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead system-level development throughout the product lifecycle, from concept through qualification
• Develop, decompose, and maintain system requirements using IBM DOORS/DOORS Next
• Define and execute Verification and Validation (V&V) strategies, including test plans, procedures, and acceptance criteria
• Ensure requirements traceability and compliance with applicable MIL-STD documents and customer specifications
• Support system architecture definition, interface development, and system modeling activities
• Lead system integration and verification efforts in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Partner with scientists and engineering experts to translate emerging technology into validated system performance
• Provide technical leadership, guide junior engineers, and support design reviews
• Generate engineering documentation, perform trade studies, and present findings to internal teams and customers
• Ensure adherence to Client processes, engineering rigor, and configuration control

YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field
• Proven experience developing or executing V&V plans and system test strategies
• Experience with DOORS/DOORS Next for requirements management
• Working knowledge of MIL-STDs and the ability to apply them to system design, component selection and qualification
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience working in cross-functional engineering teams
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with scientists and engineering specialists
