About the Role

Join a purpose-driven healthcare and community support organisation that is committed to improving the lives of individuals accessing in-home care and specialist support services. With a strong focus on dignity, independence, and high-quality care, the organisation operates in a fast-paced yet supportive environment where accuracy, empathy, and collaboration are valued just as highly as technical expertise.

In this role, you will take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing while working closely with a payroll specialist and wider finance team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, while also supporting staff with payroll-related queries in a responsive and service-focused manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and process end-to-end weekly and fortnightly payroll accurately and on time
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new starters, terminations, and pay changes
  • Review timesheets and resolve payroll discrepancies in collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with relevant awards, policies, and legislative requirements
  • Process superannuation, PAYG, workers compensation, and other payroll obligations
  • Calculate and process back pays, pay increases, and termination payments
  • Support end-of-year payroll processes and reporting requirements
  • Respond to employee payroll queries in a timely, clear, and professional manner
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth payroll operations

About You

  • Proven experience in payroll administration, ideally in a high-volume environment
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and relevant legislation
  • Experience with payroll systems (Aurion highly regarded, but not essential)
  • Exposure to SCHADS Award or Nursing/Healthcare Awards is highly desirable
  • High attention to detail with strong accuracy in data processing
  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise effectively in a busy environment
  • Strong communication skills and a helpful, service-oriented approach
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and improve processes

Why This Role

  • A flexible hybrid working arrangement (2 days WFH)
  • Flexible start and finish times to support work-life balance
  • A supportive and collaborative team environment
  • Strong focus on wellbeing, including access to Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Opportunity to grow within a stable and expanding organisation
  • A positive workplace culture where your contribution is genuinely valued
