Sr. Project Manager

San Diego, CA (Hybrid – 1–2 days onsite)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (with flexibility for weeknights/weekends during peak periods)

Duration: 8-Month Contract

Pay: $49–54/hr (W2)



Our client is a global leader in life sciences and genomics innovation, advancing solutions that improve health outcomes worldwide. They are seeking an experienced Sr. Project Manager to support Commercial Finance projects on a contract basis, covering an LOA with the possibility of extension or conversion.



Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Business Process: Quarterly Territory Rollover

  • Manage all communications related to the quarterly territory rollover process
  • Establish and maintain a schedule/calendar for rollover activities
  • Prepare templates to collect feedback from regions
  • Conduct validations and follow-up conversations with regions and GSO
  • Review and approve/deny off-cycle account-to-territory change requests from GSO

Business Process: Forecast Snapshots

  • Align with Global Commercial Finance on approach and timing for dashboard refreshes and subscriptions across quarter-end and forecast cycles
  • Update reporting flags and perform dashboard validations
  • Provide support and coverage for dashboard activities
  • Maintain calendar with snap timings and distribute reminders as needed

Dashboard Sustainment

  • Approve/deny Tableau server access requests
  • Action Tableau workbook-level access requests via ServiceNow and email
  • Support and validate Tahoe publishes
  • Manage extract refreshes and subscriptions
  • Communicate dashboard pauses to ELT and Global Commercial FP&A
  • Assist with quarter-end and SAP release activities including prep, validations, and pausing/enabling extracts and subscriptions

Business Process: Commercial P&L Sustainment

  • Quarterly review of cost center changes and collection of feedback from global/regional stakeholders on mapping updates or OpEx allocation population
  • Validate data between forecast cycles

Commercial Projects

  • Lead communications and meetings for go-lives, demos/UATs, and kick-offs
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations for executive and ELT audiences
  • Prepare and review UAT test scripts
  • Perform pre– and post–go-live testing and validations
  • Manage planning for dashboards and Commercial P&L, or serve as overall project lead

Dashboard Roadmap & Project Management

  • Manage request intake, prioritization, and resource assignment
  • Lead requirements gathering and design
  • Support team throughout development lifecycle
  • Conduct reviews, validations, and testing prior to go-live
  • Define access groups and RLS for new dashboards
  • Develop and/or review project plan proposals

Miscellaneous User Support

  • Support business partners with ad-hoc questions and requests




Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Computer Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience (required); 10–15 years of experience in Commercial Finance / FP&A support roles and analytics, reporting, or dashboard sustainment preferred
  • Prior experience working with global stakeholders and supporting quarter-end and forecast cycles required
  • Experience supporting commercial or finance forecasting systems or projects, preferably using TM1 and/or OneStream




Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience supporting Commercial P&L processes, forecast cycles, and quarter-end activities
  • Proficiency validating data across forecast snapshots and reporting cycles
  • Strong experience supporting and validating Tableau dashboards, including extract refreshes, subscriptions, content pausing/enabling, workbook-level access, and RLS/security setup
  • Experience processing dashboard access requests via ServiceNow or email intake
  • Ability to manage recurring business processes and establish governance calendars and schedules
  • Experience coordinating validation cycles and follow-ups with global and regional stakeholders
  • Requirements gathering, design support, and UAT test script preparation, execution, and validation
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to Global Finance, GSO, regional, and ELT audiences
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint for demos, go-live communications, and executive presentations
  • Strong project and intake management skills including roadmap planning and prioritization
  • Tableau skills preferred; experience with BI tools required
