Grounds Keeper Assistant (Seasonal/Contract)

Job Title: Grounds Keeper Assistant
Location: Rochester, NY
Employment Type: Full-Time | Contract (Seasonal)

Summary: Nesco Resource is seeking Grounds Crew Members to support seasonal landscaping and exterior maintenance activities. This role focuses on general grounds upkeep, including cleanup, planting, and light maintenance tasks. Ideal for candidates who enjoy working outdoors and being physically active. This is an excellent opportunity for college students on Summer Break!

Pay Rate:

• $17.50/Hour

Shift:

• Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Contract Length:

• Mid-To-Late May - End Of August

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general landscape bed cleanup and maintenance

• Assist with turf, shrub, and tree upkeep

• Rake, mulch, and plant flowers

• Remove debris and maintain clean outdoor areas

• Support grounds crew with various exterior site tasks

• Perform seasonal cleanup (spring/summer maintenance)

• Maintain safe and organized work areas

Qualifications:

• Prior landscaping or outdoor work experience preferred but not required

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

• Ability to lift, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the day

• Strong work ethic and reliability

• Team-oriented attitude

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

• Outdoor work environment

• Frequent walking, bending, raking, and lifting

• Light-duty manual labor

• No heavy equipment operation required (low-risk work environment)
