Design & Build are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale data centre construction projects across Melbourne. This role is suited to a proven construction professional with deep technical understanding of mission-critical environments and a strong track record working with Tier 1 or major Tier 2 head contractors.
You will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery, ensuring safety, quality, programme, and commercial outcomes are achieved on complex, high-value builds.

Design & Build are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale data centre construction projects across Melbourne. This role is suited to a proven construction professional with deep technical understanding of mission-critical environments and a strong track record working with Tier 1 or major Tier 2 head contractors.
You will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery, ensuring safety, quality, programme, and commercial outcomes are achieved on complex, high-value builds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and delivery of data centre construction projects from inception through to completion.
- Manage multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and subcontractors across all project phases.
- Oversee programme, cost control, procurement, and risk management.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, quality benchmarks, and client expectations.
- Drive stakeholder engagement with clients, consultants, and internal leadership.
- Provide leadership across technical coordination, commissioning, and handover processes.
- Proven experience delivering data centre projects (essential).
- Previous employment with a Tier 1 or large Tier 2 building contractor (essential).
- Strong technical understanding of data centre infrastructure, including MEP systems and commissioning.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, high-value construction projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar.
