Public Sector People are partnering with a local government organisation to recruit for a Administration Support Officer.
  
Contract: 3 months | Immediate Start
Hourly Pay Rate: $45 p/h + Super
  
Responsibilities: 
    • Respond to telephone enquiries and complaints from both the general public and Council staff.
    • Make and receive calls relating to the procurement of materials and services.
    • Coordinate the ordering of materials, goods, and services as required (e.g. stationery, films).
    • Manage and respond to both internal and external enquiries.
    • Prepare correspondence and written documentation as required.
    • Maintain registers, records, ledgers, files, and documentation as directed.
    • Reconcile contractor invoices against Council orders and process payments through to completion.
    • Coordinate maintenance and repairs of office equipment, including photocopiers, and arrange associated payments.
    • Prepare annual plant hire orders for both long-term and short-term hire of plant and machinery.
    • Collate invoices, Council orders, and delivery dockets, and process payments accordingly.
    • Arrange the hire and coordination of plant and equipment.
    • Perform data entry and maintain relevant systems as required.
    • Provide administrative support to eServices as needed.
    • Prepare inspection certificates and related documentation.
    • Schedule and coordinate inspections for construction works (e.g. driveways and pathways) and liaise with Council Inspectors to ensure timely completion.
    • Support and follow up on restoration activities to ensure completion.
    • Undertake general clerical duties, including record keeping, filing, photocopying, and managing telephone messages.
    • Provide assistance to other clerical staff within the department as required.

  
Essential:
  • 2+ years experience in an administration support role within local government or working in a politically sensitive environment
  • Previous experience with TechOne, Content Manager/TRIM, Authority or Pathway highly regarded
