Salesforce Technical Solution Architect (Contract)

Company / Role Overview

Our client is seeking a hands-on Salesforce Technical Solution Architect to support large-scale digital transformation initiatives within a complex enterprise and public-sector ecosystem. This role sits within a high-impact delivery and advisory environment focused on enabling multiple business units through scalable Salesforce-based solutions, reusable frameworks, and best-practice implementation models. The successful candidate will play a hybrid role across technical leadership, solution design, stakeholder engagement, and hands-on engineering delivery, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, delivery managers, and external stakeholders in a multi-vendor environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design and delivery of Salesforce solutions, combining hands-on engineering work with technical leadership responsibilities across a small development team.
• Develop and maintain scalable Salesforce applications using Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC), ensuring alignment with enterprise engineering standards and delivery best practices.
• Drive solution architecture discussions and translate business or operational requirements into practical, scalable technical solutions.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to assess use cases, conduct technical discovery activities, and support implementation planning and onboarding initiatives.
• Design and support integrations between Salesforce platforms and enterprise or external systems within a highly interconnected environment.
• Establish reusable frameworks, implementation patterns, and technical playbooks to improve consistency, scalability, and delivery efficiency across projects.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and oversight to engineers while maintaining active involvement in coding, troubleshooting, and implementation activities.
• Engage with senior stakeholders and project sponsors to communicate technical recommendations, manage conflicting priorities, and support strategic decision-making.

Job Requirements

• Proven experience delivering Salesforce solutions in a hands-on technical lead, senior engineering, or solution architecture capacity within enterprise environments.
• Strong technical expertise in Salesforce technologies, particularly Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
• Experience leading development teams while remaining actively involved in coding, solution implementation, and technical problem-solving.
• Solid understanding of Salesforce integration patterns and experience integrating Salesforce with enterprise platforms or external systems.
• Exposure to Service Cloud and broader CRM transformation initiatives within large-scale or complex delivery environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage senior business and technology stakeholders effectively.
• Experience working within consulting, system integration, or multi-vendor delivery environments will be highly advantageous.
• Nice-to-have: Exposure to Salesforce Public Sector solutions, reusable framework development, DevOps practices, and Salesforce certifications.
