Procurement Manager - Ag Chem/Seed

Our client Crop Smart is a leading retailer and distributor of crop protection and fertiliser inputs. They continue to grow and over the past 20 years have built a strong reputation for leading ‘in-field’ service delivery, responsive crop protection and nutrition solutions, and an operation that includes a formulation plant and distribution network across Victoria, South Australia, and NSW.

Continuing their growth, the company has evolved and are refining their supply chain around performance, efficiency and automation.

They are now seeking a Procurement Manager – Ag Chem/ Seed to join the Supply Chain team. Reporting to the GM Supply Chain, the role focuses on partnering with their suppliers and internal stakeholders to maximise procurement spend, aligned with strategic goals.

Your responsibilities include:

• Maintain & grow existing supplier relationships
• Managing supplier panels, contracts and optimising commercial terms
• Strong alignment with the retail team

There may be some travel in the role, to attend face-to-face meetings with suppliers and stores.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Proven experience within the agricultural crop protection/ seed market supply chain
• Strong relationships with agricultural industry suppliers
• High level negotiation skills and commercial acumen
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Analytical skills, attention to detail and a commitment to safety

The role is initially office based to support onboarding, training and integration with the team. Hybrid working arrangements to be discussed after settled into role.
