About the Role
As a Domestic Freight Coordinator, you will oversee freight operations, lead weekly team calls, negotiate rates with carriers, and coordinate shipments from start to finish. You will serve as an escalation point for software issues, ensure compliance with shipping regulations, and work closely with other departments to streamline logistics processes.

Pay Rate: $25-$30/hr

Available Shift Times
Flexible shifts, including some weekend work during busy periods

Key Responsibilities

• Lead freight coordination and fill in as acting inbound manager when needed
• Manage freight team schedules and task coverage
• Negotiate shipping rates and seek cost-saving opportunities
• Arrange transportation and prepare shipping documents
• Track shipments and provide status updates
• Maintain compliance with customs and regulatory standards
• Record shipment data and monitor freight performance
• Identify and suggest process improvements

Key Requirements

• Proven experience in freight or logistics coordination preferred
• Strong negotiating and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
• Resilient, adaptable, and able to work some weekends
• Knowledge of shipping regulations and customs procedures
