ABOUT THE POSITION.

Working closely with experienced technical leaders and project directors, you will play a key role in the delivery of complex flood modelling and stormwater projects across both public and private sector developments.
This is a hands-on technical and client-facing role offering genuine career progression into leadership.


DUTIES. 

• Delivery of flood studies, flood impact assessments, and stormwater management plans
• Hydraulic and hydrologic modelling using industry-standard software
• Preparation of technical reports and design documentation
• Liaising directly with councils, government authorities, developers, and multidisciplinary teams
• Mentoring junior engineers and reviewing technical work
• Contributing to project management, client relationships, and business development initiatives

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE. 

• Relevant Civil Engineering degree qualifications
• 5+ years’ experience in flood modelling, drainage, or water engineering
• Strong experience using TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, XP-RAFTS, or similar software
• Experience delivering projects within the Australian consulting environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage projects and build strong stakeholder relationships
• CPEng status or progression toward chartership will be highly regarded
