Are you a General Physician looking for meaningful clinical work, real influence in service development, and a lifestyle that gives you time to live?
We are seeking a motivated Consultant/ Specialist – General Medicine to join a well-established and supportive team delivering care across the community.

  • World-class bushwalking, mountain biking, coastline, food and wine are part of everyday life here. You can build a serious medical career and still be home for dinner.

Based in a scenic coastal location, you’ll enjoy the rare blend of professional challenge and exceptional lifestyle. Surrounded by rugged mountains, wild coastline, and pristine lakes, this region offers unspoilt beauty and space to breathe.

Why Tasmania?
Tasmania offers something increasingly rare: space, community, and time.
  • There’s no commute stress. No overcrowding. Just high-quality medicine and a genuinely balanced life.
  • If you’re considering a move interstate or from overseas, this is an opportunity to build a rewarding long-term career in a region that values your expertise.

  • Strong training environment – RACP-accredited for Basic and Advanced Physician Training
  • Active involvement in undergraduate teaching through the University of Tasmania Rural Clinical School
  • Opportunity to influence service design in a regional health system
  • Balanced workload with genuine team support

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication skills with patients, families and colleagues
