Our client, a leader in FinTech, is looking for a skilled Accounting Manager to join their team for a 6-9 month engagement. This project involves supporting organizational growth by taking ownership of the accounting close process and driving continuous improvements and automation. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close, reconciliations, and reward liability calculations (40–50%)
• Partner with Sales, FP&A, Product, and RevOps teams (20–30%)
• Manage program-related inquiries and oversee internal accounting processes (20–30%)
• Lead 1 direct report (Senior Accountant)
• Ensure SOX compliance and strong internal controls
• Oversee complex, high-volume rewards programs from both an accounting and operational perspective
• Perform complex reconciliations, calculations, and large-scale data analysis
• Drive process improvements and operational efficiency

Qualifications, Skills:
Must Have:

• 5+ years of accounting experience with manager-level responsibility
• Experience managing complex accounting programs (rewards, incentives, liabilities)
• Strong month-end close and reconciliation experience
• Experience working with large datasets (10,000+ records/customers)
• SOX compliance experience
• Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills
• Experience with complex calculations and operational accounting processes
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Detail-oriented, proactive, organized, and team-oriented

Preferred:

• CPA (strongly preferred)
• Big 4 and/or Public Accounting background
• NetSuite experience
• BlackLine experience
