Lumber Handler

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking individual to join our team in a hands-on production role at our hardwood flooring facility. This position is essential to supporting daily operations in the mill and lumber yard. The right candidate will be safety-conscious, reliable, and willing to take on a variety of tasks to keep production running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Stack lumber off of a ripsaw or planer.

  • Stack lumber onto drying sticks in the lumber yard.

  • Feed and operate a hardwood flooring molder.

  • Assist on the hardwood flooring line by operating an end-matcher, sorting flooring pieces by length, and packaging finished flooring.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment by sweeping, shoveling, and performing general housekeeping tasks.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, stacking, and standing for extended periods.

  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to different tasks throughout the day.

  • Strong attention to safety and detail.

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, construction, or a similar labor-intensive role is a plus, but not required.

Benefits/Compensation

  • Full Time

  • Pay Rate: $16 per hour

  • Shift: Mon-Thurs 6a-3:45p, Fri 6a-2:30p

  • Weekly pay while employed through Career Concepts

  • Benefits available while employed through Career Concepts

  • Temp-To-Hire

  • Benefits after Probation period
