Access Control Installation Technician– Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Responsibilities:

  • Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low voltage cabling systems
  • Install access control devices, CCTV cameras, and related equipment
  • Pull and route Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic, and other low voltage cabling
  • Install and support commercial security systems and structured cabling infrastructure
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
  • Work safely on ladders and lifts in commercial and industrial environments
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site while following all safety guidelines
  • Support additional low voltage projects at schools, hospitals, offices, warehouses, and industrial facilities

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of commercial low voltage installation experience
  • Experience with structured cabling, access control, and CCTV systems preferred
  • Ability to terminate and test low voltage cabling
  • Knowledge of telecom and data networks a plus
  • Comfortable working from ladders, lifts, and in ceiling spaces
  • OSHA, Lift, BICSI, or manufacturer certifications are a plus
  • Must have basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites within Louisiana as needed
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to grow within the company
