Medical Director, Inpatient Psychiatry – New Hospital Launch | St. Augustine, FL

A new freestanding behavioral health hospital in beautiful St. Augustine, FL is seeking an experienced BC/BE Medical Director / Inpatient Psychiatrist to help launch and lead our inpatient psychiatric program ahead of our anticipated late summer opening.

We are seeking a physician who can begin prior to the hospital opening date to assist with startup operations, program development, clinical planning, and establishing the foundation of a growing behavioral health service line.

Position Highlights:

• Founding physician leadership role with the opportunity to shape a new psychiatric hospital from the ground up
• Ability to influence clinical culture, workflows, staffing models, and program development before opening
• Freestanding inpatient psychiatric hospital serving all age groups
• Projected census growth:
  • Up to 34 patients in Year 1
  • Census growth into the 60s in Year 2
  • Long-term expansion planned to 144 total beds
• Long-term development plans include PHP and IOP services
• Collaborative environment with advanced practice providers/midlevels
