Manager, Fund Accounting (Real Assets)

A global investment services organization is seeking a Manager, Fund Accounting to join its growing finance team. About the Role

Reporting to senior finance leadership, this position is responsible for overseeing fund accounting activities, supporting financial reporting processes, and managing relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners. The role combines technical accounting oversight, operational review, and people leadership in a fast-paced environment.

 

What You’ll Do

• Oversee the preparation and review of fund accounting deliverables and investor reporting packages
• Provide technical accounting guidance to internal teams and external stakeholders
• Coordinate with operational, tax, financial reporting, and investor services teams to support fund activities
• Manage external audit processes and assist with regulatory or compliance-related requests
• Review partnership agreements, offering documents, and fund structures to support operational setup and accounting treatment
• Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of investment structures within internal systems
• Lead, mentor, and develop junior team members through coaching and performance support
• Review operational workflows and recommend process improvements where appropriate
• Participate in ad hoc reporting, special projects, and strategic initiatives as required

What You Bring

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally within public accounting, fund administration, or alternative investments
• Strong knowledge of private equity, real estate, or other alternative investment structures
• Familiarity with financial reporting standards such as GAAP and IFRS
• Experience preparing or reviewing financial statements and investment valuations
• Leadership experience managing or mentoring accounting professionals
• Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with accounting or investment management systems
