Sr Network Specialist

Our client, a leading organisation with a large-scale, mission-critical IT environment, is looking for a Senior Network Specialist to join their technology team. This role will play a key part in designing, operating, and enhancing enterprise-grade network infrastructure across a complex environment.

You will be working in a collaborative team responsible for delivering high-performance, secure, and scalable network services across both wired and wireless environments.

Responsibilities of the Role:

• Lead end-to-end network infrastructure projects, including design, implementation, and ongoing support
• Manage and enhance enterprise wireless and wired networks, ensuring high availability and performance
• Oversee daily network operations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident management
• Drive improvements in network architecture, security, and scalability aligned with business needs
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors on deployment and maintenance activities
• Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and recommend innovation and optimisation initiatives
• Support scheduled maintenance and upgrades (including occasional non-office hours work)
• Communicate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders

Required Skills for the Role:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related discipline
• At least 6 years of experience in network infrastructure within medium to large-scale environments.
• Proven hands-on experience in:
  • Enterprise Wi-Fi environments (large-scale deployments with hundreds of APs; Aruba preferred)
  • Routing & switching design and implementation
  • Core network protocols including BGP and OSPF
• Solid hands-on experience across multi-vendor network technologies, including:
  • Layer 2 / Layer 3 protocols (e.g., VLANs, STP variants, LACP, VRRP)
  • Network security features (e.g., 802.1X, DHCP Snooping, IP Source Guard, MACSec)
  • Technologies such as VPN, firewalls, load balancers, NAT, IPSec
• Experience managing switch stacking, wireless controllers, and enterprise-grade network solutions
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, must be fluent in English and Cantonese, Putonghua would be an advantage
