Director of Facilities & Estates – Care Homes Essex, London, Kent & Surrounding Areas £75,000 – £80,000 per annum No Fixed Base We are working in partnership with a growing care home provider to recruit a dynamic and hands-on Director of Facilities & Estates to lead property, compliance and estate strategy across their portfolio. This is a key senior leadership role requiring someone who can operate both strategically and operationally, setting direction at board level while also being visible and active on site The Role Lead the estates and facilities strategy across multiple care home locations Oversee compliance relating to fire safety, health & safety, water hygiene, statutory testing and property standards Develop and implement planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes Manage refurbishment projects, capital works and contractor performance Ensure homes are inspection-ready from an environmental and safety perspective Provide hands-on support to Home Managers with facilities challenges Drive cost control, budget management and supplier negotiations Build robust reporting systems for board-level oversight About You Senior estates/facilities leadership experience, ideally within care homes, healthcare or multi-site environments Strong understanding of regulatory compliance within care settings Able to balance strategic planning with practical, on-the-ground problem solving Experienced managing contractors and capital projects Commercially aware with strong budget management skills Comfortable travelling extensively across Essex, London, Kent and surrounding areas Self-sufficient and adaptable – this is a field-based role with no fixed office base This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced estates professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site environment and wants to make a visible impact across a growing portfolio.
