Our client, a leading international manufacturer within the sustainable construction sector, is seeking a Construction Estimator to join their commercial team in Cahir, Co. Tipperary.
This role will support the preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates for light gauge steel projects, working closely with contracts, design, and procurement teams to deliver commercially viable proposals.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate quantity take-offs from drawings using digital measurement tools
- Develop detailed and competitive cost estimates and budgets
- Produce professional quotation documents for client submission
- Collaborate with design, contracts, and procurement teams throughout the tender process
- Ensure material and project costs are accurately reflected in proposals
Requirements
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Ability to accurately read and measure construction drawings
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas and spreadsheets
- Professional level English, both written and spoken
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Desirable
- Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline
- Experience using digital measurement software such as Bluebeam, CostX, or similar
