The role:

As a Kinship Case Manager, you will deliver holistic case management to kinship carers and children across remote areas. You will work alongside families and community members to identify potential carers, support them through assessment processes, and provide ongoing advocacy and practical assistance. Your role will involve developing case plans, conducting family mapping, fostering partnerships with key service providers, and ensuring clients receive culturally safe, trauma-informed support.

You will have a base in Alice Springs howver the role requires extensive travel to remote communities throughout the NPY lands where you will provide essential support where it's needed the most.  You will collaborate closely with Anangu staff and community programs in a respectful, Malparara partnership. Your work will directly contribute to improving the wellbeing and safety of children in kinship care, reinforcing community resilience and empowerment.
 

Requirements:
  • Qualifications in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, Community Services or relevant experience
  • Proven case management or community development experience with families and children
  • Experience working in remote or cross-cultural environments with Aboriginal communities
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and self-care principles
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with effective time management
  • Current driver’s license and willingness to undertake 4WD training and First Aid certification
