The Electrical Assembler installs, repairs, and modifies electrical and electro-mechanical systems on rail vehicles. This role works on systems such as train controls, brakes, lighting, doors, communications, air conditioning, and power systems.
Responsibilities:
- Install and assemble electrical and electro-mechanical components on rail vehicles.
- Repair and modify systems using engineering instructions.
- Test and troubleshoot electrical issues using measuring and diagnostic tools.
- Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and work orders.
- Work with mechanics, engineers, and production teams to complete projects.
- Document completed work and follow safety procedures.
- Disassemble and repair electrical and mechanical components when needed.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of electrical assembly or related experience, preferably in transportation or rail.
- Experience with low and high voltage systems, relay logic, and troubleshooting tools.
- Ability to use hand tools, testing equipment, and precision measuring tools.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
