CNC Machinist – 2nd Shift (Contract Position)

Nesco Resource is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for a 2nd Shift contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will have strong machining experience, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Schedule

• 2nd Shift
• Monday – Friday
• Overtime available as needed

• Competitive pay based on experience

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision components according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Perform machine adjustments and tool changes as needed.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other quality tools.
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot minor machining issues.
• Maintain production and quality records accurately.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and manufacturing standards.
• Work closely with production and quality teams to meet customer requirements and production goals.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of CNC machining experience preferred.
• Experience with CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machining centers.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficiency using precision measuring equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and movement throughout the shift.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
