A major energy infrastructure project is entering a critical commissioning phase, and we are seeking an experienced Control & Instrumentation (C&I) Engineer to support site-based delivery.

Working alongside specialist contractors, project teams and client stakeholders, you will play a key role in commissioning, testing and handover activities, ensuring systems are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements.

The Role

You will support the transition of systems from construction through to operational handover, including:

  • Supporting commissioning, testing and verification of instrumentation and control systems
  • Reviewing turnover and handover documentation from EC&I contractors
  • Assisting with troubleshooting, loop checks, functional testing and commissioning activities
  • Supporting verification of safety systems (SIF / SCE) and related testing activities
  • Providing input into hazardous area (Ex) compliance, inspections and installation support
  • Managing drawing updates, redlines and as-built documentation
  • Working closely with contractors, commissioning teams and client representatives throughout project delivery

About You

You may come from a controls, instrumentation, electrical or commissioning background and will bring experience within industrial, process, energy or heavy industry environments.

Ideally you will have experience in some of the following areas:

  • C&I / EC&I commissioning, startup or brownfield project delivery
  • Instrumentation, control systems and troubleshooting
  • Hazardous area (Ex) installations or compliance environments
  • Functional safety systems, interlocks, shutdown systems or SIF testing
  • Contractor coordination, handover activities and commissioning documentation
  • DCS, PLC or SCADA systems (ABB, Emerson, Honeywell, Siemens or similar)

Most importantly, you will be a practical and collaborative team player who enjoys working on site and helping projects successfully transition through commissioning and handover.
