About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join the finance team on an initial contract. This role will support financial reporting, transactional accounting and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
• Monthly financial reporting including actual vs budget analysis and commentary
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and project cashflow reporting
• Support preparation of quarterly and annual reporting requirements
• End-to-end accounts payable and receivable support (billings, settlements, debtors)
• Month-end processing including journals, accruals and reconciliations
• Balance sheet reconciliations across leases
• Support year-end processes including fair value accounting
• Provide finance support to operational stakeholders and assist with ad hoc projects
About You
• 2–3+ years’ experience in financial accounting or similar role
• Strong understanding of month-end, journals and reconciliations
• Hands-on experience across AP/AR processes
• High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders
• Intermediate Excel and exposure to ERP systems
• Experience within NFP, aged care or community services is advantageous
