Job Title: Material Handler
Job Location: Grass Lake, MI
Pay and Hours for Job + Benefits: $19-$21/hr
First Shift: 5am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday (Hours may vary; Weekends as needed)
Job Description: Reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate needed to support daily warehouse and production operations. This role is responsible for handling materials, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods throughout the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Record inventory counts and document orders using scanners or inventory systems
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against shipping documents
- Load and unload delivery vehicles and check for damage or discrepancies
- Deliver materials to production lines and move finished goods to storage or shipping areas
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move and organize materials
- Safely use Hi-Lo equipment and overhead cranes to handle raw materials
- Perform quality checks on incoming and outgoing items
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse and staging areas
- Support shipping, receiving, and production needs as required
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of shipping and receiving experience preferred
- Forklift experience required; must be able to operate safely and accurately
- Experience with Hi-Lo equipment and overhead cranes preferred
- Proficient with basic measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures, scales)
- Basic computer skills, including inventory systems and data entry
- Understanding of BOMs and material flow processes
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must pass all pre-employment screenings
