The Exchange and Operating Environment Support Section within the Infrastructure and Operational Support Branch of Information Management and Technology Division has a requirement for a highly skilled and experienced Active Directory Subject Matter Expert to provide identity management support.
The Department has a requirement to upgrade, maintain and support its ICT identity services. The service of an experienced identity manager skilled in Active Directory and Entra ID is required to assist a blended team deliver against initiatives.

Essential criteria
Contract: 12 Months Contract with 2 x 12 month extensions
Security Required: NV2 Security Clearance required

Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Manage, monitor, maintain, and administer Windows Server environments, including Active Directory / Entra ID.
- Cybersecurity - implement & maintain cybersecurity controls and tooling.
- Troubleshoot, determine root cause analysis, and resolve technical issues.
- Assist with escalated IT Support queries as needed.
- Delivery of IT infrastructure project including upgrades, migrations, deployments etc.
Skills/Levels:
- Delivery and Operation - Technology Management - Application Support (ASUP) - Level 5
- Delivery and Operation - Technology Management - System Software (SYSP) - Level 5
Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate / Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
Essential criteria
- Technical expertise in Active Directory and Entra ID, demonstrating the following skills and experience; o Microsoft group policy management o Microsoft technologies including design, build, operating and troubleshooting o Use of Azure and AD connect o Active directory permission delegation o Role based administration and privileged access controls o A deep understanding of and experience with the Directory Services Security Protocols
- Ability to analyse and resolve complex enterprise system hardware and software problems; interface with peer teams and vendors to coordinate solutions.
- Maintain and upgrade identity services.
- Demonstrated experience managing the risks and issues, as well as devising mitigation responses.
- High-level communication documentation skills.
- 5+ years of experience with Identity management
- Technical experience with: o Modern Microsoft stack (Microsoft 365, Windows server) o Security (MDM, Sophos, Defender, Tenable)
