Senior Network Engineer

The Senior Network Engineer role is a senior technical lead role that not only delivers quality
technical solutions but also provides mentoring guidance to engineers and consultants to ensure
that the technical solution is delivered in alignment with project outcomes.

The Senior Network Engineer has deep technical experience in cloud and platform technologies
and as such will be able to conduct technical workshops, develop design documentation and
provide advice to delivery managers to help ensure client success.

• Managing and operation of IT hardware, software, communications, and/or application solutions, and the resources required to plan for, develop, deliver, and support properly engineered IT services and products to meet the needs of a business preparation for new or changed services, management of the change process, and maintenance of regulatory, legal, and professional standards, management of performance of systems and services in relation to their contribution to business performance, and management of bought-in services including, for example, public network, virtual private network, and outsourced services

Mandatory Requirements:

• Extensive experience in designing and implementing networking solutions in on premise, hybrid and cloud environments, such as NLB, Firewalls, WAN, VPN, wireless, Zoning, L2 network spanning
• Strong experience with CLI and GUI management of equipment from various network equipment vendors, FortiNet experience is highly regarded
• Availability to participate in rolling on-call roster providing 24/7 support when required
• Availability to perform after hours changes where required
• Strong platforms and IT Networking Infrastructure experience
• Demonstrated client interaction and consultation skills
• Sound knowledge of trouble shooting, testing and debugging techniques (module and system)

Required Professional and Technical Expertise:

• Configuring and maintaining networking equipment routers, switches, and Firewalls.
• Configure and manage proxies to configure maintain and troubleshoot devices.
• Configure and manage Firewalls to maintain, manage, and troubleshoot.
• Analyse issues and problems then opt for the best path to resolve them.
• Assist onsite, application, cloud, and other teams to troubleshoot issues and rectify them.
• Design and deploy solutions in accordance with the modern requirements from the perspective of network design and security.
