The opportunity
This position will be working closely with the Construction Director and will play a key role in actioning first principal pricing practices for major retirement village developments, working across both residential villa construction and large-scale community facilities buildings.

This position will require a strong understanding of commercial contracts, extensive experience in the pre-construction phase of the project lifecycle and will require a strong appreciation of the bigger picture that comes with staged-development environment.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
• Managing subcontractor pricing and procurement processes
• Coordinating tender packages 
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and project documentation
• Working closely with project delivery and development teams
• Supporting cost planning and budgeting across multiple project stages
• Maintaining strong relationships with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers

The requirements 

• Proven commercial estimating experience within the construction industry
• Experience across large-scale residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments
• Strong understanding of tendering, procurement, and contract letting processes
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and staged developments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach
