Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for providing expert surgical care in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic procedures. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing craniomaxillofacial reconstruction for congenital anomalies, trauma, and post-tumor excision.
- Managing facial paralysis treatment.
- Conducting scar management using advanced reconstructive and aesthetic techniques.
- Performing benign skin lesion removal and skin cancer surgeries.
- Executing trauma and post-oncologic reconstruction.
- Managing lymphoedema treatment and surgery.
- Performing rib fracture fixation and reconstruction for trauma patients.
- Overseeing chronic wound care.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic and patient-centered care.
Requirements
- Recognized medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Specialist accreditation in Plastic Surgery from a recognized board or institution.
- Eligible for medical registration with the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) and specialist accreditation with the Specialist Accreditation Board (SAB), Ministry of Health, Singapore.
- Extensive experience in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery, particularly in trauma and oncologic reconstruction.
- Fellowship training in craniomaxillofacial or reconstructive microsurgery.
- Proficiency in microvascular and free flap techniques is advantageous.
- Strong clinical expertise, excellent patient communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
